Halloween Fun

Halloween felt like it was 4 days long this year we started by Maddex's preschool party on Thursday, then our ward party and trunk or treat on Friday, Tyler and I had an adults only party on Saturday, Sunday was full of eating all the candy and then finally it was Halloween on Monday and we visited the great grandparents and a few family friends. It was a busy holiday this year!

Ok here comes a super long post, starting from all the way back to Saturday August 27th. I had not been feeling very well for a few weeks, I was having really bad headaches and my entire body itched uncontrollably. Having had these symptoms before in each of my other pregnancies I knew what was coming. I wanted to hold off as long as I could so that I #1 didn't have to be put on bed rest if it wasn't that bad yet and #2 I could let my baby grow in my tummy longer before she had to come to the world if it was really that bad. Well so Saturday I tried to just rest and let my body relax but the headaches wouldn't go away and they were getting worse which meant that my blood pressure was getting higher and higher. I did however make it until Sunday but I soon realized that it was not going to get better so I called my sis in law to take my blood pressure (she works at Bingham Hospital) so she takes it and it is 195/123! Which means I needed to get to the doc pretty quick, thankfully my OB Doctor was on call at Portneuf that night and he said get your butt down her now! So Ty and I jump in our car and get admitted to the hospital, at one point in the night my BP is 203/164, NOT GOOD! I actually lost my vision, like seriously I went blind! I could barely see colors but I couldn't see shapes or people or anything! It was so scary! My dad and brothers and Tyler gave me a blessing which calmed and comforted me I am so grateful for them and for the priesthood powers and for this gospel! I then get some medicine and several steroid shots to try and make my body stop releasing toxins and get settled down but it doesn't and my doc says that baby needs to be born. By this time it is Tuesday Am sometime not really sure? But I ended up having a C-section and she was born at 9:02am. Instantly my blood pressure goes down my vision is fully restored and I feel like nothing happened. Pretty crazy how having her is the cure for preeclampsia/toximia. If I can describe it, it is like all of a sudden my body is allergic to being pregnant and so it goes BIZERK! But now comes the real miracle story of miss Savanna...

Savanna Marie Hone born at 9:02am Tuesday August 30th. Weighing 2Lbs 14Oz and 15 3/4ths inches long. So right from my c-section they pass her through a window into the NICU rooms and they get to work on her. (Mind you I am still being sewn back up so this is relayed to me from Tyler who went with her while I was in the recovery room) She had to have an IV which her little veins were so small they would burst every time they tried to get one in so she had to have it in her head. But she was doing really well breathing at first and they were able to keep her stable. For 36 hours she breathed with nothing but a little bit of oxygen but then her left little lung got tired out and it collapsed. The pediatricians were incredible they immediately knew what had happened and they intubated her which means they put a breathing tube down her throat and put a chest tube in. A chest tube is a tube that goes into her body from her side between her ribs to help inflate her lung again, then they had to put another tube that goes in to her body from her chest to help the air that escaped from her lung to the inside of her body leak out so it doesn't harm more organs. Finally she is stable from that ordeal, she is on the ventilator and has the chest tube for 3 days and her lung is strong and healed up so then on Saturday they take her off the ventilator and are able to remove her chest tubes. So she is on the cpap machine which allows her to breath on her own or if she is tired it still helps her breath when she needs it. But she does not like that machine and tries to pull it of her face, almost as if she is saying I dont need this thing I can breath just fine Thankyou! (the docs and nurses say she is a bit feisty, I have NO idea where she gets it from? (: ) So thankfully Sunday she is off the cpap and just has a nasal cannuala which just gives her a little oxygen and we get to hold her for the first time. It literally felt like I was holding a wadded up blanket she is so small! Then on Monday she decides she doesn't want any oxygen help anymore and actually yanks that tube off all by herself. So now it is Tuesday and she is breathing all on her own and only has a feeding tube. She is a week old and has made more progress than some of the babies that have been in there for a month! We are so thankfull and feel so blessed!!! We are lucky to have such an amazing support group of family and friends

This is me being sicker than a dog on my cocktail of medications!

This was a few hours after she was born, she did really good and was breathing on her own but then she needed a little bit of assistance so they put this cpap machine on her. She LOVES her tummy!

First time I got to see her, I didn't know whether to be happy cuz I was feeling better or to cry because now my baby was not doing so well. So I cried any way and thats why I am turned away from the camera on the second pic. I just wanted to hold her and they told me I couldn't for a few days!

Then our worst nightmare happened and I walked in to her section of the nicu to find doctors and nurses and tons of other people huddled around her tiny body. This is the after pic of her lung collapsing. She is on a ventilator down her throat, she has a chest tube through her side going into her lung between her ribs, IVs going in through her head and through her arm. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen!

After she was able to come off her ventilator and off the cpap, I think she looks so pretty in this picture. (if you will excuse the spit bubbles, the oxygen through her nose made he have a ton of saliva)

The first time the boys got to see her, Maddex was very curious. He just kept asking question about what everything was and what it was doing to her and why she needed it. It was cute to see how concerned he was for her to get better.

Jett was a lot more reserved and he just kept saying "Daddy I want to hold her, I want to touch her!" But of course he couldn't and it broke our hearts to tell him he couldn't touch his sister. So then he kinda got frustrated and said "Daddy just TAKE her, lets just take her home!" Like he wanted to steal his own little sister, it was so sweet!

First time we got to hold her,, it was such a relief when they said we could finally hold her! Best feeling ever!

Still had her oxygen in but at least we were able to have her close to us!

So thats the story, we are very grateful and blessed to have her here, it is amazing how she just fits in with her sassy personality and we love her so much!

Summer 2011 in Review

Summer was a blast for us this year, it always seems to go by way to fast but we had good times. Here are a few of the things we did and it is a pretty short post but lots of pics!

We started the summer off by going camping with our friends the Wards and the Jones to our favorite spot Baumgartner campground. The kids had a blast and I love that they love being outside and exploring!

Levi found a snake, well actually his son Tavin did cuz he nearly stepped right on it! So we stuck in a bucket and let the kids watch it for awhile. This is Maddex, Jett, Tavin, and Bailey even though we dont see them very much they are still best buds as soon as they get together!

All the gang! Bailey, Russ, Mason, Katie, Tyler, Katie, Jett, Maddex, Tavin, and Levi. We love this hot spring that they have made into a pool at the campground. Ahh so nice right before bed to get the kids somewhat clean and really tired!

Then Tyler's sister and her family came to visit from Colorado and his parents came from Boise. We were able to do so much in a short week but the most fun was sitting at home and just watching the kids play. They had tons of fun together and Maddex really misses his cousins when they leave!

Dinner and a full house! We had 14 people in our tiny house and ONE bathroom! Dont ask me how we did it?

Jett, Baya, and Hunter are all about the same age and they loved these rocks, it was to cute to watch them play and have fun together!

We were able to go to Yellowstone National Park and check some animals and geysers out. I haven't been there in forever so it was fun to see how it has changed and how it hasn't changed. Maddex and Jett's favorite part were the Bison, they were everywhere even on the roads and they thought that was pretty cool!

We saw lots of beautiful scenery and amazing geysers and the colors of some of the pools were incredible. We saw Old Faithful and I forgot how cool that really was to see. Thanks Hones and Croker families we loved having you and miss you tons!

Emergency Room and Easter Fun

So April was a fun month (we moved into our own place!) but the ending was by far the most exciting part. We had our first trip to the Emergency Room for an injury (how we have made it this far is beyond me). Here is the story...

Thursday night our family took a trip to Idaho Falls for a few errands and while at Lowes Tyler saw there cute bright red metal shovels (yes I said metal not fun/safe plastic)

Tyler:"Hey Kate lets get these for the boys so they can help me in the yard"
Me: (Flash of them fighting and one getting a big bonk on the head.)"Um I dont think so.

Tyler: "Oh dont worry they need them to help me in the yard"

Me: (Reluctantly) "Ok sure"

Friday, I am getting ready for the evening because I have a fun dinner with my friends (girls night) the boys are playing outside. I had forgotten about the shovels. I am sitting talking to my Mom on the phone when I hear Jett start to cry, not a big deal because he cries outside whenever Maddex pushes him doesn't let him have the ball ect. ect. BUT then I hear Maddex cry/scream so I am bit worried that they both are crying. I go outside and here comes Jett blood dripping down his face Maddex white as a ghost screaming "I am so sorry oh my gosh he is got blood oh my gosh I am so sorry please dont spank my oh my gosh I love you Jett I am so sorry" Anyway to make this long story short Jett was standing in front of Maddex observing him shovel a hole and when Maddex brought the shovel up to throw the dirt somewhere else it hit Jett right between the eyes. I cleaned it up and realized that a bandaid was prob not going to fix this. So off to the hospital we went (I would have gone to my pediatrician but of course it is 5:05 on a Friday so option out). Jett hardly cried after I cleaned him and I put an ice cube against it. Maddex took awhile before he settled down (I was glad he at least felt bad) later I found out that he thought the police were going to come and get him. It was a bit funny. Anyway here is Jett at the hospital getting some numbing medicine on his ouwie.

The next day. He was back to his normal happy little Jetters! But he did look like something from Star Trek the way his face was so swollen! PS I still made it to my girls night, momma needed a pepsi!

Then came EASTER SUNDAY!

Ok ok so yes I have slacked off for about a month now on the whole blog thing, but I promise new pics of the house (yes we have finally moved in) of the boys (we had our first trip to the emergency room) and of Ty and I (he is still amazing and I feel like a 40 ton whale, ... already)! Basement, Kitchen, and more

So things are still moving along, it has been a bit slower cuz we had carpet installed and things like that it is always hard to wait on other people. I haven't got pic of the carpet and stuff yet but here are pics of the basement and few other things.

Laundry Room in the basement. This is looking in from the doorway, to the left will all be shelves and storage space. To the right will be cabinets and a folding table. Nice huh! Oh It sorta feels like a dungeon so I am painting it a BRIGHT sunshine yellow! Should be fun!

Basement painted, looking in from the stairway. The far wall will have a T.V. on it and see how there is a weird step down? Below that will be a love seat. Above the step is going to be computer area/play area. The door that you can see will someday be the boys bedroom but for now they are going to be upstairs. And that room will be a guest bedroom.

Kitchen is nearly complete!! See the countertops are in! This is going to be the backsplash, I fell in love with at the store, now it is a little to perfect of a match but I am stuck with it. (I still really like so it is all good!) It will be a good selling feature if we ever want to sell this house.

Bathroom is DONE! All except for mirror and backsplash. I forgot to take a pic of the tile but that is done too and looks really nice! This is looking at it from my bedroom door.

This is the finished Kitchen coutertop look. We have to still put a few more pieces of wood to cover parts of the cabinets. The backsplash, floor, and then appliances and we will be done with it! I LOVE this kitchen it is SO much bigger than my kitchen in Kuna and I cant wait to fill it with my stuff! This is looking at it from the dinning/family room.

I hope that this weekend we will be moving some things in and then next weekend April 9thish we will be living/sleeping in this house! SO WAHOOO for us!

Painted and Staining!

Moving Forward! So we have got the whole upstairs painted and it looks great! The next day we went and got our kitchen cabinets and the bathroom vanity. To save on cost we got unfinished cabinets and bought some stain to do it our selves. The first coat was not the color I was thinking it was going to be so we went back and got an even darker stain and this is how it turned out! I LOVE IT! They are so rich and beautiful I can not wait to get them on the wall. Now trying to find some flooring and countertop that I like is the next step!

Here is the Bathroom vanity, we also got our doors hung! Cute huh!

Doors are proving to be a bit of work since none of the walls in this house are straight! (Except for the part that Ty built, and I am not just saying that because he looks sexy in his toolbelt!)

Ok so here is the paint color in our Master bedroom, this is the closet. I thought the color I was getting was almost white with a hint of this seagreen in it...but what we got is a REALLY seagreen room! It doesn't look so bad in the pic and now I am getting used to it and actually really like it. But at first it was a little shocking!

The paint I chose for the walls is like a taupe/light brown. I wanted the walls to be light because so much other stuff in my house (cabinets, most likely flooring, furniture) is super dark brown. I want people to walk into my house and feel like they can breath and not feel claustraphobic, so I went with light on the walls to off set the dark stuff everywhere else. (Do you like Ty sitting there admireing his work:) )

More of the front room! I LOVE this room there is so much natural light and it is so airy. Awh I cant wait to sit in it and read a book!

Anyway so it is coming along pretty nicely and I am excited now because I can be more involved and help out a bunch more! Next on the list is

Maddex on the Mountain!

Our ward does a ski trip every year and we love to go! Last year Tyler and I boarded all night and it was so great! (my folks had the boys in the lodge) Maddex started to get bored so Ty held him and they went up and down the mountain several times and Madd LOVED it! So this year we thought we would get Maddex going on his own. I was a little nervous just because Maddex is pretty much fearless which is great sometimes and other times not so great. So in my mind all I could see was him skiing down the mountain and following the other teenagers off of the jumps! But I need not be so worried because my little man is a PRO! We stuck him up on the "bunny" hill and gave him the instructions on how to go, how to turn, and most importantly how to STOP! After about 4 times down the bhill and not falling he was like "Dad lets go to the big mountain" So we did and he was cruising down like he was born on skis!

Such a stud!

Ya I am skiing no big deal.

He was so funny and he loved when people from the lift above would yell "Go Maddex!" Or something to him. He thought he was pretty hot stuff but as you can see he did do pretty well! I am way proud of him, next year maybe we will see how Jett does!

Gettin Rocked!

We are finally getting some where! We have got nearly the entire upstairs sheet rocked! (these pics are a few days old so we have more now) My dad came in on Friday and Saturday and started tape and textureing so we are on a roll! Wahoo! Up next.. the basement!

From the new addition Ty built looking at the entry way to the front door! Cute huh! Question? The front room is going to be carpeted but the rest of the upstairs is going to be hardwood. Should the entryway be tile or hardwood?

Looking at the master bedroom from the far wall, this room is now fully sheetrocked and it looks SUPER small! We are going to have to do some craftiness with our furniture arrangment in this room. We even expanded this room, how did the people before even get a bed in the room the way it was???

My nice master closet! Actually this is bigger than the closet in my house in Kuna! Crazy huh!

My Huge kitchen! Oh isn't it lovely!! Under the window on the left is where the sink will be. At the end to the small windows is where the dinning room table with be. Those windows look out to a little porch. So I can see who is coming to my front door!

I had Ty build in a little linen closet in th bathroom so I can have a cute basket on the bottom full of toilet paper or something then shelves for Towels and up at the very top will probably be where the Medicines are hidden. Right now Maddex thinks it is a fun place to jump out of. Or scare me when I walk around the corner!

There you go! I love seeing the progress, even since I took these pictures more stuff has happend and so we are further and further everyday! WAHOO!

Christmas at the Poole's

So the Monday after Christmas we were able to get together with the Poole side to have our family Christmas and it was a blast! My mom and dad were ambitious enough for some reason to try and get the grandkids to do the Nativity Scene for the audience of their mom and dads. Lets just say that Grandma and Grandpa were a little red and a little sweaty afterwards. But Good Effort! :)

Baylee as Mary and Jett as our sweet Joseph. These two were pros they sat there the whole time and were so good and cute to watch!

Maddex as Samuel praying. He had a duel role as a wise man also. He was so sweet he sat up there in this position while my dad read the scriptures about Samuel and Nephi. I was so proud he was not wiggling all over the place!

The whole crew, it was so funny to watch these little kids do this play for us. Some did better than others but hey for all of them being under the age of 5 it deserved 5 stars! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the lesson and the laughs!

The grandparents bought head lamps for all the grandkids. It was so funny to watch the kids running around in the dark with these on.

Christmas at the Hone's

This year we were in Boise for Christmas and were able to spend the week at Tyler's parents house. It was so fun to have his mom and dad and brother Brian there with us Christmas morning.

This is the end of it all and we were worn out! I love that I am snuggled up to Jett's pillow pet (which he loves and calls it his babybug) and my adorable quilt that Tyler's mom made!

This is a bear Jett got from Great Grandma and he LOVES it!

Here is Maddex's pillow pet and he has not had a night that he has not slept with out it!

After "Santa" brought the boys their sweet gator tractor they had to take it for a spin! Maddex is actually a super good driver. Jett loves to drive too but he cant quite reach the peddles so Maddex will sit next to him and push the peddle while Jett steers. So sweet huh!

Tyler's awesome remote control helicopter that he broke like a half hour later! (thankfully it came with spare parts and he was able to fix it)

Yes that is me holding a dozen cupcakes from none other than GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES in Washington DC! Yep Ty had them overnighted and he surprised me on Christmas with them! Can I just tell they were SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD! I miss them already!

Oh yeah! He is a rock star! He loves this thing! However I am counting the days when the batteries go dead :) What was I thinking??

Look at their faces! Maddex was so confused/happy/scared/exstatic, he wasn't sure what to thing. The first thing he says is "What the HECK?" Nice huh! Jett just kept smiling and staring at it! It was so fun to see them so happy!

Christmas Eve we had family movie night it was so perfect I think I want to make that a tradition from now on. All the kids watched Despicable Me (by the way HILARIOUS a must see) they were so good and looked so cute in their Christmas Jammies!

So adorable huh! This is (from the left) Kendall, Jett, Cameron, Maddex and Jaxon. They had so much fun this Christmas with each other!

Going UP!

Sorry it has been awhile since I updated about the house but we have had a busy few weeks! However the house is coming along and it is going up nicely! Thanks to some remarkable help and I am still amazed at the things Tyler can do! Seriously he is amazing!

Also Maddex has been a huge help he goes into the house often and "helps"! He just like being around his dad and feeling important, he is acutally a really big help with pulling nails out that are low to the ground!

Ok so here is where we left off this is from the dinning room facing toward the soon to be master and the kitchen.

Now this is what it looks like! See how we have extended the Master bedroom wall out a bit and you can see where the door will be. Also there is a closet on the other side of that cement chimney thing that we couldn't take down but it actually worked out perfectly to extend from that to the bathroom wall and make it a closet!

Through the kitchen. About where I am standing will be a large island going out toward the boysish.

Now to the new addition! This is from the far corner of the addition soon to be living room. You are looking at the new front door area. Where Ty is standing will be an entry way with a cute bench and hooks and a place for every one's shoes!

New front porch and front door! The two big posts in the front will be pillars with cute fencing around. It will match on the other side but you cant see it because it is behind the plywood.

Side view, also if you can picture where the entry way is there will be another small window in that area.

What do you think so far? I am glad it is coming along and seems to be going rather fast! Thanks for the help from everyone! I am sure glad to have Tyler who can do it all and do it well!

December 2010

December came and went in about the blink of an eye! I felt like we were busy every single day, with birthdays, snow days, sick days, holidays, and more! Well have a look for your self!

Started out with lots of snow that proved to be LOTS of fun for the boys! Grandpa and Maddex made an adorable snowman one moring and Maddex was SO proud!

Then we got to see Santa and surprisingly Jett was not to afraid this year!

Maddex is never afraid, he just jumps up there and yells "I want a train and a fourwheeler!" Says thanks and hopps down!

Jett got his very first haircut! Yes he is 2 years old and has NEVER had his hair cut, my kids just dont grow hair for the longest time?

He did so good, he didn't wiggle or get afraid or anything! It was really cute to watch him!

Then the day before their birthdays (which are the 8th and 9th) each of my boys got STREP THROAT! ARGH! So we had to cancel their birthday party and we were all sad.

So we still had some cake and icecream (which late was thrown up by the boys). As you can see Maddex is not his normal self he really did not feel well! But dont you love their cakes! Jett's was a turtle and Maddex's was Thomas the Train because for some reason he is obsessed with it right now?

Not happy and not feeling well at all!

Their main gift was this awesome train table that they love to play with and have had countless hours of imagination and creation time! It is super fun to see what each of them do and pretend!

We got to go to Salt Lake and see the lights with my family and it was so much fun. We also went to Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday morning and it was beautiful!! I love music it was so incredible to hear it right there!

It was a little chilly but we bundled up and it was actually quite pleasant! Even my boys had a fun time seeing all the lights and the beautiful temple!

Jett rides the fourwheeler because he doesn't have gloves that he can grip anything with so he rides and I think he likes that better anyway! This is Mad and Dax being pulled, they are the best of buddies and it is so fun to watch them hang out together!

Day 11 (whats in my makeup bag)

I dont wear a ton of makeup but I do wear a ton of mascara to make my eyes bigger. So my favorite thing in my makeup bag is my Loreal Volumize Mascara and I LOVE this stuff! I also found so me new eye shadow that is shiny and very pretty. Bonus was that it was from family doller so it was very inexpensive! I also have a eyelash curler and can not go anywhere with out that because my lashes grow straight out and it looks very funn if they are not curled. Other than that there is not much anything else!

Favorite sorta fast food place is either Five Guys Burger and Fries or Costa Vida mmmm so yummy!

Favorite nice sit down place to eat would be either Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, or PF Changes! Yes PLEASE!

Favorite place in my little town to eat is definitly RUPES BURGERS! There are more memories in that place than I can count on my hands and toes most of them in High School since that was the best hang out. But now I have some of my own family and of Tyler and I! BONUS It is less than a mile away from our new house that we will live in after we are done remodeling it! Yahoo for rootbeer flavored icecream cones!

Already had it! The only thing I would change would be the weather, it was supposed to be this very beautiful outdoor wedding. But when it came time for the reception it did not happen so we moved to the old church. I was not happy but it was still very pretty!

From the time we were done with the temple and driving home it went from beautiful sunshine to clouds and down about 45 degrees!

So this is a few pics of myself and my family two years ago. This is the year that we found out I was prego with Jett!

This was at my cousins wedding, I had just barely found out and told people other than my family that we were expecting. Look how little Maddex looks!

This was in August and I was gaining weight quickly now, so you can see my tummy was starting to get bigger and bigger!

This was around Thanksgiving we were let Maddex open his birthday presents from my side of the family. Here I look large and in charge!

Here we are around Christmas time, Jett was a few weeks old and we were happy to have him! I think I look like a vampire in this pic with how pasty white I was! Yikes!

This is my best friend Chelsea and her family, her husband Andre and their little boy who is 2 years old now named Keaton.

Chelsea and I were the duo in high school that if we were not around eachother people thought something was wrong with the world! She and I went through some intense life changing, and learning expeirances, many boyfriends, hard times, and the best of times! I honestly can say that I am the person today because I had her in my life, she helped me grow up. Her husband is in the airforce and they moved to JAPAN this summer ya thats right JAPAN! Do you know how much it would cost to fly to Japan? Like $1100 buckeroos! So lets just say that I really really really really miss her! But I am also very proud of her, she is in a new country and just learned she is prego! Wow huh! Well so that is us! I wish I had some pics of us but they are all in storage maybe someday I will embarrase both of us and put some up here!

Day 3 (perfect date)

April 23, cuz it is not to hot not to cold all you need is a light jacket!

Or since I am married and have been now for 5 and a half years dates are in rare form! Also I have a husband who is extremely amazing in most areas of life, marriage, daddyhood, and more but not so hot when it comes to the romance thing! So here is what I would like...

I would like Tyler to start the day by saying lets play hookie and I wont go to work so you can sleep in. All the while having had this planned for weeks! So while I am sleeping he takes our children to a babysitters. Comes home lets me in on the plan that we have the whole day to ourselves and we sit in bed eating breakfast and talking for hours. Then he says get ready for the day so we can go out. I do as does he. Then we go to a nice restaurant and have pleasant conversation, when dinner is over we go get ice cream because it is so warm outside. We take our ice cream up to a very high mountain overlooking the city and eat it continuing our pleasant conversation! As we go home we pick up our children and come home to play with them for awhile before putting them snuggly in their beds and he and I go to the couch to watch a movie and eat some popcorn. We cuddle, we kiss, we... well you can come up with the ending! That is a perfect day date!

I am not so high maintenance am I?

Or he could surprise me with a cruise that would work too!

Day 2 (something I ate or drank)

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on days that I am stressed, or the kids have been crazy, or I cleaned the house and need a reward, or just because I feel like it! And today is all of the above! It is Maddex's birthday and Jett's is tomorrow so we are having a party tonight... but Maddex woke up this morning puking and running a super high fever SO the party may have be postponed! And so pepsi is my sancutary, my shelter from the storm, my lover, mine oh mine! Ahhh isn't it refreashing!

On December 9th 2008 mommy went in for her check up still having 3 weeks before you were supposed to be born. And she heard a familiar sound come from her doctor. She heard this sound when she went in for a checkup with your brother and he said mommy was sick and needed to have the baby NOW! So a few minutes later mommy was hooked up to all sorts of machines and IVs and the nurses and doctor said sit tight cuz you are going to have a baby today! Mommy and Daddy were scarred, nervous, but most of all excited!

At 10:31 12 hours after I had went to the docs office you were placed in my arms! This 5lbs 10oz wiggly pink beautiful little boy! I cried and was so relived that you were healthy!

Minutes after you were born, you still have the gross white stuff on you! Yucky!

Mommy finally got to hold you and you were so perfect you opened your eyes and everything! Notice here how red and gross mommy looks ya that is cuz I was being pumped full of lots of drugs and mommies body was not happy about it!

Look how even at a few minutes old your eyes are so bright!

All nice and bundled, you were one day old here!

This is the day we brought you home, Maddex was so excited to have his baby brother home!

My 3 boys! Maddex loved you from the very start and he has been a great big brother!

Daddy was so excited to have another boy so you and Maddex could be good friends! He is such a good daddy!

The best Christmas gift we got in 2008 was YOU!

Maddex Tyler Hone I cant believ your 4!

This is when we found out we were having a sweet little boy. Little did we know that you were going to be SO much fun and a little crazy! But we loved you from the moment we knew you were in there, and still do!

This was a week before you were born and I thought I still had plenty of time because I was 33 weeks along! Then came December 8th 2006 1:10pm and all of a sudden you were in my arms!

Here you are a few hours after you were born and you were so tiny! 4lbs. 2oz. and shrinking! This was while you were still in the newborn nursery.

This was the first time mommy got to hold you and you were down in the NICU. To be honest mommy was still VERY out of it but I still remember holding you and the feeling I got! Pure Love... then a little nausea!

Your pacifier almost swallowed you up, that is how tiny you were! But you sure did love that thing and mommy was very grateful!

You were on your way home. See how this preemie outfit barely fits your little body! The day we brought you home you weighed 3lbs, 10oz!

We finally got you home after you were in the NICU for about a week and daddy loved holding you! I love how his hands look so huge next to your little body! Look at your little feeties!

When you were in the NICU you had to have a feeding tube and it was the saddest looking thing ever. But thankfully that was the worst that you had. For that mom and dad are forever grateful! You were still so handsome!

And now look at you!

Maddex I am so thankful that you are in our lives and that we are blessed to be your mom and dad! I am so proud of you! You are so smart, kind hearted, talented, and so so funny! Mom and Dad LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Day 1 (my day)

So today was a busy day, I woke up early and headed off to a job interview. Which I ROCKED! So they had me come back and do a "practical" which I BOMBED! (By the way this is for the 911 dispatcher here in Blackfoot) The practical was crazy and so hard there were phone calls coming in, the radio was going ballistic as well. I had 3 officers, 2 ambulances, and 2 firetrucks to keep track of and all the while "people" calling me on the phone! (keep in mind this is all fake but still super intense) Phew, I did ok and the gal said she liked me so hopefully I can continue in the process. When I finally got home I cuddled up to my boys and soon realized that Maddex was not acting himself and had an extremely HIGH fever. All in time for his birthday tomorrow! Now we are watching a movie and I think Maddex's medicine finally kicked in cuz he seems to be doing better. So hopefully he will be ok for his and Jett's birthday parties tomorrow! Long busy but not to shabby of a day!

Demolition Time

So Demo is going very well and pretty quickly, we are pretty much finished with all the demo now it is time for plumbing, electrical, floors then sheet rock and we will be off from there!

This is the dinning room for some reason there is a chimney that is stuck in that hole and up through the ceiling but it has since come down as well. I think I am going to extend my kitchen just a little bit and have a nice size breakfast bar about where that wall and trash can are. Then sorta where I am standing to take the picture will be my table.

Bathroom we are completly switching this all around, so when it is done that the bathtub and shower will be on the wall where the window is. (we hope we can move a window above the shower but we will just see how much room we have) Then the vanity will be on the wall of many colors with the toilet either between the vanity and tub or vanity an wall where the door will be. With a big huge mirror above the vanity!

From the back of the house I am standing in the mudroom, and where Tyler's dad is standing is the kitchen looking into the dinning room. (see how that weird chimney wall is gone) It is so much more open too. Oh another bonus is that we were able to raise the ceiling and I cant belive what a HUGE difference that made. It seems so much bigger throughout the whole house!

More kitchen, this is the wall between master bedroom and kitchen, the door way you see is to the bathroom.

Tearing down ceiling and we found a HUGE birds nest it was super nasty!

From where the front door is now looking into the family room and master bedroom. Check out the ceiling, doesn't it make a difference to have that raised!!!

Look above the window at the massive bees nest!! Yes there was bees frozen in it! This is in th kitchen and can you just imagine cooking hereing this buzzing constantly. UGH! So gross!

This was another bees nest Ty found on the other side of the house! Seriously huh!

Bathroom ceiling is super weird, we thought we could just raise it like we did the rest of the house but this is what we found, slanted? But maybe it will be really cute and add some character, we shall see?

So far it has been super fun to go in and see all the work that Tyler and my dad have done, I cant belive how fast it is going. Hopefully it will continue to go quick! Thanks to Tyler's dad and mom for coming and visiting and helping out too! I cant wait for the day when you can come and visit and have a nice guest bedroom to stay in!

Tyler and I have been busy working on our new house! It is a lot of work and we have only just began but I think the end result will be SO cute and the journey to get there will be fun, stressful, worrisome, exciting, difficult, trying, and OH SO many other things! But just look at it..

ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL!

This is from the left side of the house where there used to be a few cars lots of trash and junk!

This is the right side of the house where more cars, camping trailers, and more junk were.

Living Room/Dinning Room. In the future this will be part master bedroom and dinning room.

Living Room and Dinning Room this door on the left goes into the "Master Room" but we are extending the room so this door will be closer to where Maddex is standingish.

Master Bedroom, doesn't it just scream tranquility! Well at least it screams something!!

The Kitchen! I especially love what they have done to the ceiling! Actually this is a pretty good size kitchen and will be an upgrade from the kitchen I had in Boise if you can believe it. I said "WILL BE"!

More Kitchen

The Bathroom. This is the one and only bathroom in the house which I wish there was one downstairs but it prob not gonna happen. This room will also get some rearrangement and a new window since this one lets in more air than if we left the front door wide open!

Eventually this will be my Laundry Room. Oh look they were so thoughtful to leave their trash behind for us!

This is the front porch that will eventually be the Living Room. The wall and door where Maddex is standing will be torn out and we are making the front door come in from the other side.

I think they were planning on putting a window there or maybe there was a window there and they didn't want it, your guess is as good as mine! Couch for sale anybody want a nasty couch? Just kidding!

All in all it is actually a really cute house and I cant wait to see the finished product and be able to live in MY OWN HOUSE!!!! We definitely have our work cut out for us before we get there, I think by the time we are done Tyler will have learned a ton about each other. He may finally grasp that I usually get my way! hehehehe! As this project progresses I will post more pics!

Turtles, Skunks, and Dinosaurs OH MY!

Well Halloween was a definite "Treat" this year! Our kids have been talking about this for a whole month, well at least Maddex has. He wanted to be Spiderman (which I promptly borrowed) from the beginning but then he also wanted to be Buzz, Woody, Iron Man, Optimus Prime, a Ghost and anything else he saw at the stores. Thankfully when we got his Spiderman costume he was SOLD he definitly thought that was the coolest thing he could be! My little stinker Jett was a skunk which is actually very fitting wouldn't you think!?

These are all the neices and nephews of ours on my side from Left to right we have Jett a Skunk, Baylee a Witch, Addison Snowhite, Maddex Spiderman, Dax a Red dinosaur (he wanted to be a red dinosaur but it was hard to find so this red dragon became a dinosaur! Shh dont tell him!) and last but not least Rhett a cute little turtle!

Ok so I need a vent session! Don't read this if you don't care or don't want to hear a grown women complain. So for about a year and a half now things have NOT gone as hoped, planned, wanted, explained, desired, needed, etc. etc. and frankly I am a little SICK and TIRED of it! (I am actually pounding on the keys on this keyboard!) WHEN WILL IT CHANGE? Yes I know "everything happens for a reason" and "dont worry things will always work out" and "there is always someone who has it worse off than you" ya ya I KNOW all these things but it has been a over a year and we are still living with my parents we still haven't found Tyler a job that pays him what we need and what he deserves with benefits and that makes him happy? We are still sitting in lala land trying to figure this stupid crap out! I am running out of patience I am starting to NOT be a good mommy and wife! I also have looked for a part time job but to no avail! Oh and I swear that my kids are just here to see how long it takes to break me! Have any of you out there tried to raise your kids with grandma and grandpa around, it is no easy task! I don't blame my mom and dad they are just being grandma and grandpa (as I would want them to be). It is just I don't want them to have to help discipline and I don't want them to have to see my kids misbehave ALL the time. I want them to think that these little boys are fun and nice not crazy and loud! I also wish that Ty didn't come home stressed and worried, I want him to come home excited and happy to see us! With dinner cooking and his children quietly playing together. ok ok so that rarely happened before but I was doing better on making home a calm place for Tyler to walk into. So what do I do? Continue and hope things get better like I have been for over a year? With a fake smile on my face and tears behind my eyes? OR....kick my self in the butt and be BETTER! Don't give up, don't lose faith, don't forget the positives in life, don't dwell on the past or on the negative, don't let myself be the one to bring myself down, DO better, do be happy that I have a husband that works his ace off every single minute of the day, do be happy that my children have the sweetest little hearts and even though the drive me literally a little insane they make my life worth more, do be happy that even though I am roomies with my madre and padre they are there for me and my family whenever we need it, do be happy to have my family so close to us, do be happy, do be more, DO SOMETHING!

These are some random pics from the Fair in September. I just found them on my camera and thought some of them were pretty darn cute! Oh man I just LOVE the Fair!

Maddex liked this little train ride I think because it was not quite as exciting as the other things he rode that day.

Even Jett got to ride it for a little bit!

Jett was a little cautious at first with all the animals running around at the Petting Zoo but soon he was like ok they just want this food stuff I have in my hands so he went around shoving the little cup into every goats mouth!

Not really paying attention to the goat that has come to sneak some more food.

Ok so we got Maddex a wrist band in hopes that we would get our moneys worth, needless to say we DID! He rode most of the rides that he was tall enough for but we definitely got our money worth from him riding this dragon roller coaster! He LOVED it! We would beg him to go and try another ride but as soon as he did he was back on this little coaster! He must have rode this thing10 times that day!

Even late into the night he was STILL riding this thing! I love his huge smile!

He got to ride in the front and I think that was his favorite because every time it would go up his eyes would get small and then on the way down his eyes would be HUGE! It was fun to see him having so much fun, and I am glad that nothing scares this kid! (well most of the time I am glad)

Tyler's new job has him working with some big machinery and we thought the boys might like to see these big Tractors. So we headed off to the job site and by the time we headed home we were dusty and Jett had had survived a mini heart attack!

Since being back in Idaho we have been busy spending time with family and friends. When we moved back here we still didn't have a place so we are living with my folks and my kids LOVE it! They love hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma, and it is so nice to watch them explore, learn and grow up. I forget how much I love "home" sometimes, but I after being on the east coast I certainly wont forget for awhile! WE have all the best thing here!

Driving Home

Ok so if you ever go to Washington DC among the many things you have to do one thing is going to Georgetown Cupcakes. They actually have a TV show on TLC. So when we went to DC our hotel was like a mile from their shop and I had to go! Boy am I glad I did!!!! These were the best tasting cupcakes I have ever had the privilege of putting near my mouth! I am actually salivating right now just remembering the taste! Ugh I crave them all the time! Red Velvet (my favorite), Chocolate Ganache, Key Lime, Pumpkin Spice, Maple, Birthday Cake, ooooohhhhhh and SO MANY MORE!

Ahh New York City! It was a quick fun filled day full of lots of adventures and being a dorky tourist not know where we were. Good thing we were not the only ones with maps and cameras in front of our faces. Here are tons of pics from the trip, not in any particular order so just remember that when looking.

This is the view from the Empire State Building, it was pretty cool seeing things from a birds eye view. We were a little sad that it was overcast and raining otherwise the view could have been cooler.

I wanted Tyler to kiss me in Central Park by a light post and of course he wouldn't so I kissed the light post instead. Not as good of a kisser as Ty but as least it didn't shoot me down!

Central Park.... was dirty and not anything like the movies make it look like. But we were running short on time so we didn't really get to spend time here. Someday when I go back I plan to take a book find a beautiful bench in the flower gardens and read for a while!

It was Tyler's birthday and of course I needed to embarrass him SO at the Hard Rock Cafe in Time Square we sang Happy Birthday to him while he stood on his chair! He totally felt the love!!!

This was my FAVORITE place in New York! Liberty Island was clean and beautiful. The Statue of Liberty is awh striking, my mouth literally dropped open when I saw her!

We had SO much fun and I am so glad that we could do it together! I am also very glad to have had friends that were willing to watch our boys so we could do this with a little less stress!

A GIRL, A BOY, AND A MAGICAL CITY!

Once upon a time a twenty something girl traveled to a magical place called New York City, she was in search of her long lost love from years past. She knew they were meant to be together and hoped that this city would be the place she met her love again!

She had heard of a large green lady who could see far beyond the waters and the city, she hoped that this green lady could help her find her love.

Unfortunately this green lady known as Liberty although beautiful was no help for this girl. So she continued on her journey to a strange train that she heard could take her to a place that once held the title for "Tallest building on Earth". She hoped that if she could reach the top she just might be able to spot her love below.

While on this train she felt like dancing, so she did! Don't judge!

While this building was incredible tall and made her ears pop several times going up the elevator, the city was far to muggy and overcast to see much.

......But wait could it be .... she rushed to the edge..... is it him?

She hurried down the elevator and ran through the town to where the lights were so bright.

She searched and searched until she had almost given up. Then out of the corner of her eye she ... SAW HIM! He was tall and handsome and looked as if he was searching for her too!

They ran to each other! When they met they melted to one another and he took her in his strong manly arms and dipped her into the most romantic kiss she had ever received before!
(Which is kind of a lot so this was a spectacular kiss)

She knew that from that day forward they would love each other and never get lost from one another again! She loves him and he loves her and they TOGETHER had a blast in New York City!

Once again I have been overcome by a teen fiction series! These books are well written I have been watching my back in the real world because I feel like I am the lead character in these books! I have read until wee hours in the morning, neglected my children, my house in unsightly and my husband well he is lonely! Do I regret it NO, these books are incredible, the third book comes out on August 24th and I CAN NOT WAIT! Thank you to the girl who recommended this series to me and I apologize to all you who will now have neglected you life becouse of them!

Dont hate me but I like this better than Twilight, ya ya I said it! Read them and decide for your self!

Sitting waiting for our next train to come, this underground tunnel was HUGE and kinda pretty!

I was nervous that with 2 kids a stroller and small spaces on the metro was going to be a disaster but thankfully it was not to bad. My children are incredible, they did so good all day in DC with no naps even! I love these little munchkins SO MUCH!

This week we took a trip to the Washington DC Zoo, it took a while to get there because we rode the Metro and that is a whole different post! The Zoo was incredible, it was huge and beautiful and the animals had large gorgeous habitats to roam around in! Also I realized as I was posting these pic that most of them are of the backs of my kiddos heads... so dont judge my photography skills! It is not easy getting a curious 3 year old to pay attention to the camera when there is cool animals right behind him!

We got to the "Big Cat" Habitats near the end of our day and it looked like they were hungery! This Tiger just kept paceing back and forth waiting for something to do or eat.

The lioness were so big and pretty this particular one was standing staring at the entrance to their habitat.... see next pic for further explanation.

You can just see this other lioness down by the door, she just paced back and forth climbed to look out the windows then would continue to pace. They were hungery! All I could think was I would not want to be the keeper that has to feed 3 waiting and hungrey lions! Yikes!!

Here is "Big Pappa" this guy was GIGANTIC! I was stunned how big he was and how beautiful he looked Jett just kept saying "Whoa" when he would walk over by us.

I kinda was concerned myself, he either is incredibly comfortable or he really could be dead!

This was our highlight, this lady gorrilla had just had a baby a few weeks ago and it was finally out and about. So Cute! They were all tucked away and then mommy decided to go climb a tree, it was so adorable to watch the baby try to climb the tree with mommy. She eventually got frustrated with waiting for the baby, grabbed a hold of it and yanked it up next to her. Super funny becouse I know what she feels like and if she could have rolled her eyes she probably would have!

Here was one of Maddex's favorite animals, he watched this Elephant for awhile. He like watching him pick things up with his trunk.

Big big big snake! Maddex gets right up there close and Jett always stays back a little bit. I like having a least one cautious child!

This was another super fun adventure and I am glad we did it! I love going to different places and see new sights with my family!

Chocolate capital of the World!

This last Saturday we visited Hershey Pennsylvania, the Chocolate capital of the world! It was one of the funnest things we have done so far. I dont know if it is just my love for chocolate or maybe my love for... nope it was just my love for chocolate! We started our day off by taking a tour and learning how the Hershey chocolate is made, it was the yummiest day of education I have ever had!

First they get milk from the thousands of dairy farms around the town. Maddex did not like these singing cows because he said they were too "noisy".

We got a little chocolate bar at the end and it was very tasty!

We rode a trolley tour around the town and learned all about Milton Hershey and how he became the father of chocolate.

Our tour guide Wilbur, he was a hoot!

Pics with Wilbur and our conductor Lydia, Maddex was getting super tired and would not be a good boy for the picture he was being a bit of a pill at the end. Thankfully he zonked out on the ride home and was a happier boy.

It was a super fun day and I was glad we were able to do it with the Apx wives and my friends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA! This year was one of the funnest 4ths ever, we spent the day relaxing and enjoying our friends company. We BBQ'ed, swam, made a huge slip and slide, then watched a really great firework show.

This pic is the best we could get because neither of our boys were that excited about the fireworks! We were right under the show so it looked like they were falling one us which made Maddex very nervous. He kept saying to me "Hey mom I think we should go home" or he would say "Mom I am getting sleepy lets go home" (Which he never says so I knew he just wanted to get out of there) Pretty soon after much conversation of trust me Maddex we are just fine he settled down and was happy.

Jett does not like loud noises, and so it took him a little while and lots of hugs before he settled down and started enjoying the show. By the end he was clapping and wanted more fireworks!

My mom and aunt Elaine came to visit and we did some great things but I think of all the things we did the Camden Aquarium was the BEST! Maddex LOVED it! Jett liked it, he was a little scared at first but he soon loosened up. Tyler was also in heaven cuz well you know he loves the animal world and I am glad he was able to go with us!

The first "zone" we did in the aquarium was the hippos, and they were by far my favorite! They came right up to the glass as you can see above! They just starred at Maddex, and let him get so right up to the glass also! It was a little crazy thinking that all was separating a huge hippo from my child was some glass but surprisingly they looked gentle and sweet. (Even though the Discovery Chanel says they are not)

I LOVE SUMMER TIME AND SUNSHINE! We love going to the pool and we love having the beach close to us! We go to the pool almost everyday (when it is not raining) and the beach has been a blast to explore! For Father's Day this year we spent the day hanging out by the Atlantic Ocean down at one of Delaware's beaches. It was a blast!

He is diving for a ball this unfortunatly ended in a belly flop but he never seems to mind.

Some of the other guys came with us to the beach and they found these weird sand crab things. The locals call them sand fleas, so naturally I let my children play with them! ;) Maddex thought they were the coolest things and had a blast digging them up!

One of Maddex's favorite things to do is race the waves in and back out, well this time he thought he would challenge himself by haveing to get up from a sitting position to get away from the wave. But... uh it was harder than he thought!

We are having a blast exploring this new world we call the "East Coast"! It certainly has been an adventure and we are glad to be able to share it together, we are also SO proud of how hard Tyler works so that we can have these adventures! I LOVE YOU TYLER!

Philly Zoo

First things first... ya I am riding a CAMEL! Maddex saw these kids riding a camel and he wouldn't let it go! We walked the entire Zoo and yes he like the animals but he just kept saying "After the (whatever we were looking at) are we going to ride the camel?" Thank goodness it was only 6 bucks so as you can see by his HUGE smile he loved it!

It was very stinky and very uncomfortable and BIG! It was kinda intimidating.

This dang goose wouldn't leave us alone he kept trying to eat Jett's pretzel out of his hand. Jett kept looking at me and saying "Whoa!" He is so cute! (Jett! Not the goose of course)

This manly gorilla was sitting right next to the glass just chowing down on some cardboard pizza boxes. He was so big and kinda freaked me out cuz he would look you right in the eye!

This 13 year old new daddy orangutan was so cute he kept playing peek a boo with that green blanket. Maddex thought he was way funny! His wife and new baby were tucked away resting!

Me and Jett pretend feeding the ducks, this duck actually tried to eat my wedding ring! If he would have succeeded we would have had roast duck for dinner! Jett held onto my pant leg every time a duck came close to us, it is so funny how different he and Maddex are.

Maddex chase the ducks all over the place! He would lure them to him and then jump at them to scare them. He is ALL boy!

Needles to say the Philly Zoo was pretty fun we got to see some animals I have never seen before and that was way fun for us! I love making memories with my family and watching my kids faces when they are learning and growing from the experiences they have!

So one of my life long dreams was to attend a MLB game, and for Mother's day my sweet and incredible husband made that dream come true! IT WAS A BLAST! I smile the entire game I teared up a bit when I walked to the bleachers behind home plate! I couldn't belive how HUGE the stadium was and the atmosphere was in a word... BASEBALL! It was the best mother's day and it will be hard to top!

Summer Plans!

So since our planning was just a way for Heavenly Father to say uh na uh I am in charge! So now our plans are to go with a few friends to sale security systems for the summer in Philadelphia! And here we are! We love the expiances we have had and continue to have, the east coast is completly different (they really should have split our country in to the west and east) but surprisinly friendly. Tyler is working hard everyday and continues to surprise me and people around him with his ambition and abilities! He is incredible and I am very lucky! So wish us luck! And we will see you in September!

Jett got a heart attack in February! Hahah on Valentines day! He sadly did not feel good most of the month of Feb he got a cold and then got 3 more teeth so it was a long month for him.

While grandma and grandpa were in Hawaii we decided to build a fort in the front living room. Maddex thought that this was so cool. He brought his pillow and his animals in and just played it was great!

Jett on the other hand was not a fan, mostly I think becouse Maddex would block the exits so he couldn't get in and then once in he couldn't figure out how to get out. Do you like the snot in his nose, ya sorry about that!

This is my best friend Chelsea's little boy Keaton, her family is moving to JAPAN!!!! So we have been getting together a ton and the boys really like spending time with their little buddy!

Aren't they just the cutest kids! Keaton is only 4 months older than Jett so they have a lot of fun exploring together!

January was a cold and snowy month but that just meant more fun for the boys. My dad has a four wheeler and the kids LOVED sledding behind it!

We finally go to play in the snow! Dax and Maddex look pretty cute in their snow clothes!

My Mom and I got gift certificates to a spa so we decided to get pedicures together. She left for Hawaii a few days after she got hers, I was a little jealous!!!

Isn't my mom pretty! She is a great person and I love her very much, even if we drive eachother nuts sometimes!

Yes that is Tyler with Maddex in his arms! I know I know we are crazy parents but hey Maddex loves it and he is not afraid of anything!

We visited Tyler's grandma and she has horses that are so beautiful and nice. Maddex was giddy about them!

Jett's eyes were even bigger than they usually are (which is pretty huge)! He wasn't so sure about them until Daddy took him over and let him touch them. Then he just keep going hehehhehehe and pointing.

Here Comes Santa

Our ward was able to have Santa come to the ward party and Maddex was more than excited! Santa walked past us and Maddex jumped from his chair ran to him grabbed his hand and hugged it so tight. Then when he sat on his lap he asked Santa for some trucks and some transformers! Thank goodness Santa was able to find those things for him. Jett on the other hand was a little bit more contained. He didn't cry but he was ready to get to Momma again.

Birthday Days

As some of you may know my boys are 2 years and one day apart so Maddex's birthday is December 8th and Jett's is the 9th! So this year we had a BIG party! We had presents, a Transformer Pinata, and cake and ice cream it was a BLAST!! Jett really love opening his gifts Maddex has a serious wack at his pinata and literally craped his pants which was hilarious that he hit it that hard but sad cuz he just started crying. Then we had our Cakes Maddex had a Transformer cake with Optimus Prime and he LOVED it! Jett's cake was a basketball and he DOVE into it! It was so much fun and we want to thank everyone who came and shared their birthdays with them!

Since none of the kids were able to break the pinata, they were able to pull these strings and then the candy came out!

Halloween was a blast, I love that Maddex is finally getting to understand and realize what was going on. "Hey if I say Trick or Treat I get candy!" This year Maddex was Nemo and Jett was squirt the turtle, they were adorable and they both did really well!

SICK SICK and MORE SICK

October started off with pink eye then Jett got croupe, then Ty got a severe sinus infection, then Maddex got a double ear infection, then he had an allergic reaction to his ear medication (pic above), then everyone had colds. Let me tell you about sweet little Mad man, he woke up one day and was eating his breakfast just like any normal day when I bent down to kiss him on the head and noticed all these red bumps on his cheeks. I quickly picked him up and looked on his tummy and his back and started to panic when these red bumps COVERED his entire body. I though for sure it was Chicken Pox and then thought how he had been playing with Jett and his cousins all night and that he had infected them as well. So we ran into the clinic they look him over and calm my nerves that it was not chicken pox but that he is allergic to penicillin which is what I have been giving him for a week now because of his ear infection. We got new medicine and came home, the next day he literally looked like a teenager with the WORST acne I have ever seen all over his body!! He wouldn't let me take pictures, he wouldn't look at himself in the mirror, his cousins didn't want to play with him, and it broke his little heart! I cried and got angry but soon I figured I would turn this into a learning experience for all, on how important it is to be nice to EVERYONE all of time. NO MATTER WHAT! It was good for Maddex and I hope it was good for his cousins as well. What a sweet little boy I hope he never has to go through something like that again! It was not a fun month it finally took 3 weeks before everyone was feeling better.

We decided to paint some little pumpkins that the kids were given. It was so fun and they for some reason really liked the color black, so most of the pumpkin was painted black. This is a before picture.

Maddex definitly has his dad's art skill he was being very careful to get the entire pumpkin colored, his concentration was really cute!

I painted one for Jett and it was fun for me too!

Baylee, Maddex, Addison, Dax, and Jett (not so excited) I have been able to watch my nieces 2 times a week while their mom and dad work, and it has been so much fun! Maddex loves to play with them and he is showing Dax the ropes and getting dirty together! They are all best friends and it is a blast to watch them with eachother.

Fort "Sort"

So since we have moved to my parents Tyler is not working so that he can spend some time with us before he leaves. But if you know Ty he doesn't really know how to not work, so he with a little help from my dad and Maddex started and finished this Fort/swingset in about 2 weeks! It is incredible, and all the grandkids love it! Maddex doesn't say his "f" sound very well it comes out as the "s" sound so we nicknamed the fort the Sort. Now the projects Ty is working on are my dad's barn building shelves, organizing my dad's junk (or I mean "stuff"), and fixing my mom's closeline. I think my parents are glad he is here becouse he is getting things done that they have been trying to do for some time!

Roaring Springs, The Zoo and Lots of FUN!

My Mom, Aunt Elaine, and my cousins 2 boys Payson 9, and Kyler 6 were able to come to Boise last weekend. We went to Roaring Springs on Friday and the Zoo on Saturday! It was so much fun I love when family comes to visit! Thanks again for all the fun and definitly all the other stuff you guys helped out with! I love you!

The Zoo was super fun we went fairly early in the morning and all the animals seemed to be out and active since it wasn't super hot yet.

If you look closely there is a HUGE TIGER hanging out right in front of the glass. This was way cool We were so close and Maddex just stared at him for the longest time. I think he was surprised as we all were how BIG they are!

The lion kept his distance from the fence but he did get up and walk a little closer and as he was Maddex was pulling on me saying "No no mommy yets go, yets go, git back."

Giraffes are so elegant, they walk so gracefully, and then they try to pick something up off the ground and they look very awkward and sadly unstable! It is so cool to see things that live an ocean away from us. There are two giraffes eating leaves behing us.

This is a crazy tall crane, it came up to the fence and we were just watching it do its thing, then all of a sudden it PECKED Payson! Thankfully he couldn't really get through the fence but it startled all of us! Then I started laughing so hard cuz I looked at Payson's face and he was a mixture of anger, and terrified! This is probably the reason Maddex pulled me away when the lion came closer to the fence.

Oh my sweet little Jett, he is the most amazing baby! He is so good to just sit and look at things and hang out with out so much as a wimper. Plus he is just so darn adorable!

The Komodo dragon was one of Maddex's favorites! (Just like his dad) It is so huge it kinda freaks me out! We will NEVER own a komodo dragon. Until the day that Ty brings one home and says "he is so easy to take care of we will just keep him in the backyard and feed him a rabbit once in awhile!"

Payson, Kyler and Maddex had lots of fun on the giraffe slide it si pretty cool!

Roaring Springs

Roaring Springs was so much fun, we were there for 5 and a half hours! Yes even with both my kids which they did amazing! Maddex loves water and Jett is learning to love it too. Thanks to my wonderful mother and aunt I was able to go down some of the slides with my cousins and it was like being a kid again. I screamed like a little girl and got butterflies in my stomach it was great.

This slide is called Mammoth Canyon and for a good while you are sliding in the dark then all of a sudden you pop out and go super fast. It is a 4 person tube so Kyler, Payson and I rode this one more than enough times and each time it was scary to be in the pitch black for so long!

Maddex and I being silly he thought this was so funny!

We were able to race down this slide together and for some reason the heavier person always won? Hmph! Even Maddex raced down this slide he was scared at first but by the bottom had a huge grin. He is definitly my little daredevil!

Speaking of daredevil, he is fearless in the water and loves this wave pool. Which is scary cuz even I lose my balance in the waves.

The kiddie area at Roaring springs is great, he could play in that same place for hours on end!

The Hone family has a lot of changes coming up in the future, it is going to be exciting and terrifying all at the same time. Tyler joined the Air Force and has been called to go to Basic Training in Lackland (San Antonio) Texas on November 2. Since the economy sucks and there is very little business to gain anymore over here in Boise, we decided to move over to Blackfoot on September 5. Which while Ty is gone me and the boys were going to do anyway. Tyler will be gone to BT for 8.5 weeks and then to Tech school (also in Texas) for up to 6 months. Then after that we have 3 possible places that we could end up #1 Ogden, UT (our first choice) #2 Mountain Home, ID and #3 Honolulu, HI (fun but to far away). We are excited for this new chapter in our lives and are very grateful for all the blessings we have received in our lives. We have had a great first few years and now it is time for a change. I am so proud of Tyler he has made some hard decisions this past year and I am grateful to those decisions. I am also grateful to be his wife and proud to have him be such an amazing example to our children. You should have heard how badly the Air Force wanted him! The Big Finish

This last weekend we went camping AGAIN, but this time it was with my family. We always go to the same campground called Morman Bend just beyond Stanley. It has been tradition since... well since I can remember, I love it! I also love that I am getting to share those traditions with my own family! It was a blast and I just love spending time with everyone!

We rafted the river and although it was very cold it was very fun! Maddex had a blast with grandpa and nearly fell asleep on the slow parts!

Addi, Maddex, and Baylee were so filthy every day from playing in the dirt and sand! (Thank goodness for hot springs!) Uh yes Maddex does have a dirt mustache and goatee, he is a boy get over it!

Jett was having fun in the sand and really liked digging his feet into the mud. He was not a huge fan of the cold cold water but he soon got used to it!

After playing in the sand my fat rolly polly son had sand in places I can not mention, so we stuck him in a bucket and let him splash while we washed him off.

We always go fishing and usually I do really well, this year I was more concerned with not falling in while holding one of my children in my arms. So this is the only fish I got to reel in! It was fun to see Maddex's face when we finally caught a fish!

Maddex LOVED to watch his daddy catch all the fish especially the "big one" as Mad put it (only like 8")! This pic he is yelling WAHOO! He is very proud to have such an awesome Dad!

All the grandkiddos except Jett and new baby to come in Dec. They were racing and that was just a fiasco but very hilarious! Down the line starting on the left. Dax, Addison, Baylee, and Maddex.

More hot springs pics this is Maddex jumping off a rock into a not very deep pool, What can I say he is just a daredevil. He loves life and tries it all!

I am pretty sure Maddex almost gave my Dad a heart attack jumping off those rocks!

I know I am risking my life and will certainly be disowned for posting this picture of us in the hot springs but I like it and I think Dax's, Crystal's and my face are priceless in this pic!

First thing Maddex does when we get to the campsite is run to the water and of course falls in. Fully clothed and drenched from head to toe, a great beginning to a great weekend.

Thanks Poole family it is always a blast and I love you all! Cant wait for next year, only 358ish days until we do it all over again!

2nd Camping Adventure

Camping with Tyler's family was a lot of fun this year, his sister's family from Denver came up with their 5 kids and it made it so much more fun to watch all the little ones run around and explore, find bugs, get dirty, and play in the water!

Brenna is the oldest grandchild on his side and she is such a sweetheart, she does so well with all the littler ones!

Maddex fell in a little creek that we had by our campsite so I washed him up and then he had to run around nakie for awhile. My favorite thing is his tan lines, those are just to hot to handle.

We found a little beach by the river and it was great to watch Jett play in the sand and thankfully he didn't really try to eat to much of it. This is his cousin Baya, isn't she beautiful!

There is a hot springs pool at the campground so it is so nice to play in the COLD river all day and get all sandy then jump in the nice clean hot water and get the kids all worn out before bed!

The infamous "ROCK" every year the boys have to jump off this rock no matter how cold the water is or how much they scream like little girls before doing it.

Finding bugs was one of the favorite pass times of all the kids, now Maddex brings me every dang bug he finds! Thanks a lot Croker kids!

Jett once again was such a good little baby, he just played and enjoyed being out doors as much as we all did!

Everyone except for the little kids, moms and grandparents went on a hike the first day. The general consenses was that it was fun, I think they were ready to be back at our camp with normal food and not quite so many mosquitoes. Beware the mosquitoes are BAD this year!

We went to some amazing hot springs, they were so beautiful! It had a beautiful water fall and a great pool for the adults that was deeper and a large pool for the kids that was shallower. They were perfectly comfortable and oh so nice to be in while it was raining on us! Thanks Satterlees!

When the boys decided to go fishing they were kind enough to take the kids with them. So they got ready and headed off, unfortunately they had to cross a log bridge that was over a swampy marsh mud/water spot first. Well our friend Dan has three beautiful little girls and he couldn't carry all of them so he put Isabelle on his shoulders and the other two girls were to follow behind him. While crossing the log bridge the oldest girl Abby almost fell in so Dan leaned over to save her. Sadly Isabelle fell from his shoulders into the Swampy Mud Pit! She went all the way under Dan jumped in and this is how she looked right when she came out. She was a tough little girl she didn't even cry! But the look on her face is PRICELESS!

Ok all you moms out there here is the background. 3 months ago I started Maddex potty training, yes the first few weeks were a disaster (to be expected right) then it was like a light clicked on and he got it. He was having very few accidents in the week and never ever had a pooing accident. That lasted oh maybe 2 weeks then I dont know what happened but he now has absolutly NO problem peeing or pooing where ever he is standing at the moment. He will be standing there talking to me and just pee? Or he will be playing and just crap his pants?? I am done with it. I thought maybe he was just trying to test me to see if I meant business about this whole potty thing so I have been very consistent, however, it has failed! I have tried rewards, punishment, ignoring it and nothing seems to make him even remotly care if he pees or poos in the potty or not. So here I am after just cleaning up 4 large droplets of crap off my floor about ready to cry and most definitly ready to give up! Anyone have any magic or tricks up their sleeve that I might be able to try, it would be a great blessing to pass that on to me. Thanks a million!

Gosh I love looking into this beautiful face all day! He is big enough now to be in the jumper and he LOVES it! He also really likes to sit up and see things, so I will sit him and barracade pillows all around him so that he doesn't fall over. He is growing up so fast I cant believe he is almost 4 mths old.

Nope just kidding Maddex LOVES Vicks Vapo Rub! And that is what is all over his face. When he gets sick I always put a little over his nose when he sleeps, just so he has a clear breathing passage and it makes his nose not get so red from wiping it all the time. SO in turn every time he gets even the slightest runny nose he thinks he needs this stuff on it. Obviously he got a little carried away this time.

We went to the park with our friends Stacy and her little boy Austin (who is 1 month older than Mad and they love to play together). Maddex was in heaven exploring all the places he could and shouldn't go. He climed to the top of this ladder and the look on his face was priceless. If I could read his mind this is what I think it would have been saying..

"Whoa cool I did it! ... Now what? hmm how am I going to get down?"

We have started to potty train Maddex and I have to admit that he has done better than I expected however, I did not expect that I was going to have to clean my bathroom walls every day. (I am so glad I am not a boy and can just sit all the time) But even when he sits he hits walls! This is him waiting for it "to work" so he just sits and draws until it "works" as he puts it.

Maddex loves to have baths with Jett, and surprisingly he does really well with him. I am so glad that both of my boys like the water and LOVE to take baths! It is so fun to see Jett kick around and make noises in the tub! Is it just me or does Maddex have a HUGE noggin!

Maddex really likes to help me cook, so the other day he grabbed his chair pulled it over to the stove and was watching me spray Pam into one of my pans. Jett started crying to so I walked into the next room to calm him down and when I came back to the kitchen this is what I found! Maddex had taken both my cans of Pam and balanced them on the back of the chair! I was so surprised and as he slowly moved his hands away he looks at me and says " Whoa Cool!" with a huge grin of accomplishment on his face.

Yesterday Maddex comes running up the stairs yelling "Mama" so I come to see what he needs and he looks at me in the most serious of looks puts his hand over his mouth and says "Oh My Gosh!" I was taken back and thought to myself is something really wrong or did he just see it on a cartoon and was excited to share a new phrase? Luckely it was just that! Then the day before that he was trying to get his trucks unstuck from something screaming "I cant doet" I say to him you can to do it. He looks at me with such frustration in his eyes and yells "Mommy YOU doet!" All I could do was laugh and then I of course helped him "doet" (do it)! I love all the new phrases he is learning but now Tyler and I have to be careful!

I took Jett to the Doc for his 2 month check up and he weighs 11 lbs 7 oz!! Horray I finally have a child that is above the 10th precentile! Maddex didn't even weigh 10 lbs until he was almost 4 months old. So I am way proud of my chunky monkey, he also has grown longer as well. He is now 22.5 inches long. It is so much fun to watch them each grow!
